Venus Fest is a Toronto not-for-profit music festival and concert series celebrating feminism in the arts. The festival arrived in response to a long-standing and well-expressed need in the music industry to create a new kind of space for artists to thrive in and for community members to attend with a sense of safety. Venus Fest is committed to shifting the industry challenges that have dominated traditional festivals and organizational structures, by ensuring greater awareness around who has access and representation in the arts.

We are working to provide a welcoming and safer environment for all attendees, inspired by an ever-evolving force of feminist values. We welcome all friends and identities in our space and hope to create an atmosphere of inclusivity, love, and celebration of our amazing community.

The first two years of Venus Fest took place September 2017 and 2018. We continued the celebration each month with the Venus Fest series. We wish to acknowledge Venus Fest is located on the traditional Indigenous territory of the Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit.
